The iPod had the white earbuds to show everyone that, yes, everyone is listening to their iPods and it is cool and safe for everyone to get one too.

Pushbullet also pushes other kinds of content if you subscribe to it, like daily cartoons from Cyanide and Happiness, working something like an RSS reader.
