My trip to the U.S. — DEMO 2003, Phoneix, & LA
Backing up my documents on my Windows XP ThinkPad — about 1.5 Gigabyte of data, including some videos which I probably don't need anymore — over the 802.11b wireless network to my Mac OS X PowerBook which connects to my firewire hard disk... is slow.
(No, the ThinkPad doesn't have FireWire.)

I believe I'm all set to start my adventure.
Actually, the adventure already started on the web, as I surfed over to past photos and writeups of DEMO, MapQuest, and other web sites.
Singapore celebrates Hari Raya Haji today, and everyone gets a break from work. I'm finishing up my preparations (nothing much really — just cleaned up my bag so that there are no junks in there.)
Read Doc's adventures in losing his laptop. I hope it will not happen to me.
Haven't found anybody blogging about DEMO 2003 yet.
